Printing with Indian Wood Blocks

  • Greta BK 204 Nassau Ave Brooklyn NY 11222 USA (map)

Join our next in-person workshop when we will introduce and practice the ancient technique of Indian wood-block printing.

Indian block printing is a centuries-old, meticulous tradition primarily practiced in Rajasthan and Gujarat, involving hand-carved wooden blocks (often Teak or Sheesham) to stamp intricate designs on textiles using natural or eco-friendly dyes.

We will provide all materials needed and attendants get to keep the organic cotton teeshirt they work on.

Children ages 7 to 12 are welcome with their families.

This workshop requires a reservation and is a fundraising event supporting our ongoing project.
